What Is CIPCE?

Preserving African culture as licensable IP

The Cultural IP Catalogue Engine (CIPCE) is Master Made Studios' initiative to capture, structure, and package African cultural expressions — music, oral histories, languages, rituals — into professionally managed catalogues licensed on a subscription and usage basis.

CIPCE exists to align culture with modern IP economics, ensuring that heritage is preserved, documented, and monetised without stripping it of dignity or community benefit. Contributors retain rights and recognition, while licensees gain access to authentic, rights-cleared cultural material for film, TV, advertising, education, AI, and beyond.

Every submission is reviewed for quality, provenance, and consent before it enters the licensable catalogue — building a trusted bridge between communities and the creative industries that want to draw from them.
